Booking Details

Here you will find the boring but important things about renting one of our cabins.

Initiating a Booking

Booking is completed through submitting a request with your travel dates and number of guests to our contact form below or to hello@ketchikancabins.com. Calendar availability is subject to change. Once dates are confirmed, an invoice will be emailed to the primary guest with directions to submit a deposit to secure dates.

Min/Max Stay

Our cabins have a 3-night minimum stay. Max stay is up to 6 months, subject to availability. 

Guests

The primary guest must be 21+ years of age to book our properties. This person takes responsibility for the actions of each additional guest on the booking. Total number of guests is limited to what is agreed upon in pre-booking communication and will be noted in the invoice.

Securing Dates

A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking along with a copy of the primary guest's drivers license or legal ID (ex. current passport). Submitting these two items secures your dates and indicates you have read and agree with all the booking details and invoice terms.

Payment in Full

Payment in full must be made at least 7 days before check-in. Exact location and check-in instructions will be sent following receipt of payment in full.

Payment Types

Payments are accepted through PayPal, Venmo or mailed check. An invoice will be issued at the time of booking with specific guidance. 

Applicable Taxes

Our rentals are subject to Ketchikan Gateway Borough sales tax (2.5%) and transient occupancy tax (4%) for a total of 6.5% as noted in your invoice.

Cancellation Policy

Full refund, including deposit, for cancellations up to 30 days before check-in. If booked fewer than 30 days before check-in, full refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking and at least 14 days before check-in. After that, 50% refund up to 7 days before check-in. No refund after that. Travel insurance is recommended.

Check-in/ Check-out

Check-in is after 4:00 pm. Check-out is before 11:00 am. 

Pets

In most instances, pets are not allowed on our properties.

No Smoking

Smoking, vaping or e-cigarettes are not allowed.

Trash & Fish

For your safety and ours, no trash or food should ever be left outside or on the porch, and we discourage you from leaving anything odorous in your vehicle. This attracts bears to the property. Keep all trash indoors or place inside the trash shed at the bottom of the driveway. For the same reason noted above, fish shall not be cleaned on site. Fish may be stored in the fridge or freezer; however, we ask you to clean any fish at the boat launch or harbors or have them commercially processed at Cedars.

Cell Service

Verizon currently offers the best cell coverage in this area. Other providers' coverage may be limited.​ The cabins are equipped with streaming-capable Wi-Fi.
